Pastor Patrick Dailey preaches “How Long, O Lord?” from Revelation 6:9–17. Week 14 of Thy Will Be Done, our 42-week series through Revelation.

The Lamb opens the fifth seal, revealing the souls of the martyrs beneath the altar. They cry, “How long?” They are given white robes and told to rest until the family of faith is complete. The sixth seal shakes creation with earthquake, darkened sun, blood moon, falling stars. The kings and great ones beg the mountains to hide them from God’s face.

Key themes: no life is forgotten by God; the Persistent Widow’s cry in apocalyptic form; why the martyrs rest under the same altar where the saints’ prayers rise (Lev 4:7); the white robe as God making everything new; two kinds of hiding.
