Four friends go to Las Vegas. One of them figures out how to beat roulette. Not by winning big, but by learning how to stop losing.

Wheel of Fortune follows a long weekend of casinos, bad systems, near misses and quiet revelations, as the author experiments with roulette and slowly discovers a way to walk away ahead. Along the way, there are history boards that look overdue, systems that work until they don’t, and a wheel that earns the name The Wheel of Misery.

Written with dry humour and self-awareness, this is not a guide to getting rich. It’s a true story about understanding probability, resisting temptation and realising that beating the casino doesn’t always mean taking its money.

Part travel memoir, part gambling diary and part argument with mathematics, Wheel of Fortune is for anyone who’s ever believed, even briefly, that this system might actually work.
