Eric Barbary, an up-and-coming internet magazine owner/editor may have bitten off more than he can chew when he seeks out Arthur Albescu, the owner of a house that is the subject of a local urban legend.
Eric finds the old man to be standoffish at first but soon finds himself drawn into the man's story telling.
Arthur takes Eric through four short stories intended to challenge Eric (and the listener's) perspective on the difference between fact and truth.
But is there something more sinister behind Arthur's hospitality? Could Eric be in for something more dangerous than listening to bad storytelling?
What is and What Should Never Be is a modern interpretation of classic Hollywood Monsters such as Dracula, Wolfman, Frankenstein's Monster and the Creature from the Black Lagoon set in a classic story telling environment.
