The Todd Gleason series has received acclaim from such distinguished sources as Mystery Scene magazine and the Mystery Gazette, as well as from best-selling authors like Jeremiah Healy, Jeff Abbott, SJ Rozan, Tamar Myers, and others. Now, from an author who has been said to deliver "an ending like Agatha Christie on helium", here are two novellas featuring his con-man-with-heart.
In The Perils of Penelope Pittson, Todd has agreed to protect a lovely heiress while she celebrates New Year's Eve - in Times Square, of all places. While waiting for the countdown to midnight, Todd imagines what life might have been like as a private eye back in the 50s, and works a case all too similar to the one he's on. Does he trust the Penelope by his side, or is there a lesson to be learned from his imagined world of the 1950s.
In The Antics of Anton Ardno, Todd is hired by a shady character to impersonate him...all because he wants to sell his late wife's mansion back to her father. Why such a complicated transaction? Family secrets, a case of murder, and an act of betrayal, that's why. But is Todd being used, and if so, how can he turn this to his advantage? From New York to Florida's eastern coast, Todd Gleason is out to con a con.
