The time invested....
At the young age of 12, Kaydee Harrison wanted an adventure, to dream of far off places, and a pen pal seemed the perfect way to do that. She started writing to a girl in England only to have her address passed on to a boy named Duncan, and that moment changed her life. Ten years later, sharing thoughts and dreams through pen and paper has brought them closer than ever. When Duncan sends Kaydee a scarf for her 22nd birthday and a card expressing his love for her, she's happy but her hopes are shattered when he mentions his grade school friend Mara has come to visit him at Oxford. Is she really just a friend? Unexpected jealousy torments her thoughts.
The chance taken....
With her father's health failing and pressure mounting to run the family business, she needs to escape. Kaydee finds herself on a plane to see if the fantasy of Duncan can be turned into a reality. Could this one chance at love change her life? Or will it be the one decision that tears their friendship apart?
