Loss is an extremely heavy burden to bear, especially if it is the loss of someone who has been by your side for a quarter century. This book was written as a means of healing after the loss of my beloved wife and, one month later, of the man who made me as I am today--my dad.

I have always been a firm believer in the healing power of the written word, for both the listener and the writer. This manuscript was written as a means of allowing me to heal and, with my healing, allowing me to assist the four beautiful children my wife gave to me through this ordeal.

Life, loss, and love are terms that play an immense role in guiding the direction our lives take. I invite you to come along with me to witness how these guided me along the path of my life and to bear witness to the changes my life has undergone.

Thoughts: My Life After My Life came to me on January 1, 2019, the morning after my retirement from the world of toil--the world I had been occupying for most of my life. On that morning, my mind opened the windows and doors, swept all past stressors out, and allowed the fresh air of change to come in. I was no longer bound to the clock or the calendar. The verses contained within bear witness to this newfound freedom and the changes my life has undergone.
