The Sweetest Voice in Baytowne is a story to be read to kids who are tucked into bed. Through the words, they are transported to the beautiful Oregon coast, where the winds are cold, and the air smells like clam chowder. At this location, Dungeness crabs crawl deep on the Ocean bottom.
This small community survives by harvesting these crawling morsels and by shipping them across the country.
These crustations end up on fancy dinner plates many miles from the pounding surf. It takes the whole community to make this happen, many more townspeople than just the men in the boats. Our story involves community members and families who are also part of this place. This is a book that tells one tale among the many that make up Baytowne life. This adventure is about a family who has experienced loss, change, separation, and finally healing.
