概要
One worried dog. One small boy. And a magical creature who goes wherever the world has been a little bit unfair. A rhyming bedtime adventure for the whole family, with no villains, told in seventeen short parts, one for each night. Plenty of CHUGGA CHUGGA CHUGGAs for children to join in with, and a tale grown-ups will love just as much. When TJ comes to live with Grandad, Biscuit the dog finds his walks growing shorter, his red ball lost beneath the sofa, and his place on the bathroom mat no longer quite his own. Nobody has done anything wrong, yet everything has turned a little grey. And upstairs, TJ, who is quite convinced the toilet can roar, feels no more at home than Biscuit does. Then the Minglebeast arrives, and he knows exactly what grey needs. Colour. All aboard the Colour Express, a steam train with absolutely no intention of staying on the rails, as it races through real places across Britain in search of six lost colours. Its passengers, Rosie, Thomas and Priya, are each turned by its magic into the creature they need to be, and each discovers that being brave sometimes means putting things right. Back home, a great white dog with one ear asks Biscuit for just one thing. Wait. A story about belonging, and about discovering that making room for somebody new never means losing the place that was already yours. A traditional family audiobook to share together at bedtime or listen to on your own. Every chapter also has its own companion song to sing along to, free to hear at biscuitreader.com/colour-quest. For ages 5 and over. There is room for everyone.©2026 Jason Douglas (P)2026 Jason Douglas
