T. Ariyanna
Harry Potter clashes with Beauty and the Beast in T. Ariyanna’s stunning steampunk debut.
Mages once ruled the world.
Now, they hide themselves away in a city teeming with magic. Surrounded by humans who fear power, one boy must do whatever it takes to stay alive.
Arion is thrust into a brand new world of magic on his 13th birthday with the arrival of a book of spells from an unlikely source: his supposedly dead mother. When a spell goes awry, he unleashes a wisecracking demon that latches itself onto Arion, and gets trapped inside his head.
Arion flees to an abandoned castle in the woods, but he cannot escape for long. With his past following him behind him and the mystery of his mother ahead, Arion will do anything to change his fate.
Can he take control of his chaotic power before it makes him the monster the humans think him to be?
***
In her first novel, Ariyanna weaves a dark tale full of twisted humor that spirals to a shocking ending. Filled with magical action, steampunk adventure, and romance, The Mage’s Son is a young adult fantasy that will have listeners clamoring for the next installment in the Of Magic series.
