Great book

Great book but the fake Hispanic woman accent kills me. Someone should definitely read over that part.

fun, informative and applicable to everything

Super great read! Recommend to everyone. lots of great characters and morals. like a children's tale for adults, as the protagonist is on a journey to learn life lessons and teach them to others. Highly recommend!

A Parable of Leadership

This is very similar to Leadership and Slef-Deception, Chop Wood Carry Water, and the Alchemist. It threads the lessons of leadership into a fictional story to help the reader learn as the main character does.

Personally, I’m not a fan of this type of story vehicle. It does resonate with people though. Stories are more accessible for many people. My son for instance, loved the Alchemist. I find most of these stories a little too on the nose.

The principles in this book are amazing! It is a combination of servant leadership, bio hacking, and self-mastery. I suppose I should like this more because it doesn’t read like stereo instructions...

I think my problem with this type of vehicle is that it is clearly a work of fiction. Though there may be some truth in the lessons, the writer can lead us in any direction he/she wishes. In this book, we are promised fulfillment and riches. The main character says that’s what happened and we have the happily ever after.

I prefer analysis of real, historical events. I’m sure these principles can be taught through a series of short case studies, much in the way Robert Greene writes his books. This practice reduces my disbelief because the writer is limiting the conversation to an analysis rather than writing a narrative with a clearly defined goal and the means to wiggle the details in order to end up at the right place.

Not a bad book. The foundation is great, but the way it’s told is not my cup of tea.

Game Changer!!!

Let me start by saying that I wish I had found this book 20 years or more ago!

This is the type of book that will bring the change in your life that you are really seeking. Authentic change, one that represents who you are and what your values are. Not only does it provide great insight, with amazing stories, but it also provides the tools that you want and need to bring your life to the next chapter or the next level.

I recommend this book to anyone at any stage in life from a young adult to someone approaching midlife or going through it or even someone in their senior years.

Everyone has so much to get a headache comes down to being inspired by the right people, or the right book, or just the right timing.

Such a contrived story!! uhhh!

Good ideas in the book but (and it's a big one) the story DOES NOT help. The way the story is presented is such a cheesy and contrived way of telling a leadership fable it just makes me cringe - I mean come on - Argentinean maid giving leadership advice about how to lead organizations???? I don't think so... I don't know but I think it's time to rewrite the book Robin...

Acceptable and entertaining

This publication is interesting and I will do my best to following the suggestions offered in order to enhance my leadership skills. As stated , in the publication is challenging, but definitely achievable. I am confident it will work for me and hopefully for others with whom I come in contact. Let's go!

A reconnection to Robin

I had the the pleasure to hear Robin speak in 2009 and was totally blown away. He spoke of this principal during his Keynote Address. This book is the blueprint to self mastery and it is the key to unlock anyone's potential. I look forward to my next connection with Robin again.

Thank you for your Leadership and Heart.
Best Warm Regards,
John J.

Great information, good story.

Robin Sharma has always been great at getting his points across in story form and I think it does a great job of delivering the message as it doesn't ever seem in your face.

I will definitely go back and re listen to a few key points to make sure I jot them down on paper.

Awful

This is my first review I ever write, because I think it is so awful it hurt me listening. An endless thread of common place thoughts, not one original idea, the story feels lifted from Dan Millman's Peaceful Warrior and everything is glued together with empty phrases. It must be hard to come up with something new in the self help genre, Seth Godin's last book I read before was also very disappointing.

You don't need a title to be a leader...

...seems to be the only take out from this extremely repetitive book. Quite what this means or how you'd go about leading an organisation from the bottom isn't clear. To be fair I only got half way through, but after three hours of repetitive hyperbole about how life changing the book would be – not to mention the totally implausible characters and cringeworthy dialogue of the parable format – I could take no more. I've seen the author speak and know he has some valuable advice to give, but this book just did not work for me.

Amazing Book!

This book is amazing. Robin Sharma really goes deep into the ways in which one can really lead their field and ultimately live a more meaningful life. I've heard other books of his, so I did find some of the things quite repetitive, but having said that this explains his Leadership morals in depth and in much more detail than any other books he has written.

If you're into personal development and are looking for motivational and inspirational reads then this is a must. This book will definitely help you in many ways, it certainly had helped me and changed my view on alot of things.

Too focus on success as in having a great car, etc

Insightful and awareness awaking, great tools inside. But also far too (north)American dream focused, not questioning at all the ethics of the military nor those of big companies in big cities.

What did I just listen to?

I’m sorry, but this was very disappointing. I didn’t get anything at all from listening to this audiobook.

The dialog was bad. The story was bad. And no good points except typical cliches.

Don’t buy this book.

Not worth listening to

I like the work of Robin Sharma but was very disappointed with 'The Leader Who Had No Title'. I only managed to listen for an hour before switching it off. I feel the author picked the message he wished to deliver and then fabricated a very flimsy, evangelistic fable around it which left me feeling patronized. Not for me!.

Lead without a title!

You will enjoy reading or listening it. New ideas on "how to lead when you dont have a position." In simple words, the book teaches you to get out of misconceptions about leadership and accept it as its actual purpose, which is to serve and lead with example. Many of the book's abbreviations and acronyms made it all the more fun to engage with and learn the core principles of leading without a title!

Good book. Shame about the bad accent

I really enjoyed this book at first, but switched off after getting sick of listening to the incessant bad fake Spanish (?) accent. It wouldn’t be so bad if the character wasn’t featured so much. I will need to buy the book to finish this. What a waste of money.

With the book came with a PDF with the exercises proposed. Also wish there were more exercises. The teachings in this book are not really revolutionary but it takes on discipline to follow the teachings.
