Unless we pause to consider the implications, we risk being swept away by the current of popular culture, where conformity is the coin of the realm and free speech is controlled by the media. We can do better than this.
America is in trouble. Bad decisions have brought us here. It's tempting to pass off our discontent as merely two disturbing presidential election cycles. But the truth runs much deeper than that.
Progressive overreach now permeates virtually every aspect of American culture. Everything is political. The divide is no longer as simple as Coke vs. Pepsi--it extends to all manner of things, even where we live. If the current mass exodus continues, and we continue to retire to our respective corners, the democratic experiment that is America could well be over.
Few people have captured the Nation's pulse so accurately. Some examples:
To say the current situation is complicated is an understatement. Most illnesses are. It has taken years to gain some clarity in understanding the general chaos that is now being experienced in American Society-- what we call The Great American Disruption. The litany of misguided views in America today has reached a dangerous threshold.
Life is about choices. this fundamental element of life called choices is something that is often overlooked by many, many people, especially at critical times in our life journey. Balancing the emotional brain with the rational brain is a lifetime pursuit for humans.
Failure to address this issue [border security] in a more controlled vision of the future role of immigration not only diminishes what it means to be an American, it also represents the greatest security threat this country has ever experienced. Challenging The Great American Disruption requires a greater disruption based on critical thinking and strategy. Reasoned discourse becomes a fundamental requirement for the survival of our democracy.
