September 11, 2018, 2:30 p.m. EST: Oz McTatey watches as a cyber-attack devastates everything connected to the internet. At 2:47 p.m. EST, Oz and his team witness a second Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) terrorist attack that destroys the power grid, disables vehicles, and causes catastrophic malfunctions of all electronic devices. The United States is forever changed.

Book 2: A Life Without Power tells the continuing story of Oz and Nicki McTatey who are reunited after being separated by 458 miles. After multiple attacks by a group of desperate and hungry people, the McTateys have to quickly determine their future. Would they rendezvous with their best friends, the Tregors, whom they share a bug out location with, or would they shelter-in-place and make a stand? Would their son, BJ, who is alone and ill-prepared, be able to safely make it to their Kentucky strong hold from Illinois? Many questions and few answers.

This new world is filled with darkness, fear, and unpredictability. To survive, the McTateys and Tregors will need perseverance, adaptability, and most importantly, each other.
