Courting Lives of an Ageing Tennis Player is the second book in the Sporting Confessions Series by Nick Owen. Our delusional hero, Lord Andy John Paul George Ringo Murray of Kirkintilloch is haunted by his success (or lack of it).

Lord Andrew believes that he has won the vote for the club chairmanship: his time has come, his victory is total. But not complete. What's the next challenge for the tennis player who's just won Wimbledon? To win the Australian Open in Oz of course, so our hero bids farewell to his beloved tennis club and sets off on his journey to Melbourne (known in the 'real' world as HM Prison North Sea Camp in Lincolnshire where our hero is serving out his sentence for arson having set fire to the tennis club's racquets.)

His desire to win in 'Melbourne' is naturally not straightforward. He has an open prison regime to contend with, opponents who don't play by the book and the ongoing attentions of another champion tennis player, 'Serena Williams' who has taken pity on Lord Andrew (due in no small part to the guilt she feels about her role in banning him from the tennis club in the first place).

Courting Lives brings our two main characters together for an epic tennis final played out on the blue clay courts of Melbourne, the magistrate courts of Liverpool and eventually the romantic wilderness of the East Lincolnshire coastline.
