A star player falls to his death. Was it murder or suicide? Detective Rockie Suarez and washed-up sportscaster Jerry Cushing take on a greedy owner, the Russian mob, and crooked cult leader to uncover the truth.
The sports world is shocked when the star quarterback of the St. Louis Rivermen, Danny “The Arm” Wilcox, falls to his death days before the championship. Following this tragic event, washed-up TV sportscaster Jerry Cushing finds himself covering the biggest story of his career.
What should be an open-and-shut case of suicide seems like anything but in the eyes of Detective Rockie Suarez. Needing a foothold in the sports world, she hooks up with Jerry to investigate her lead suspect—the owner of the team.
The hard-nosed detective and over-the-hill sportscaster form an unlikely duo (in business and pleasure), and in pursuit of the truth, Rockie and Jerry find themselves embroiled in a world of amputated limbs, Russian mobsters, and sinister religious gurus.

"Tanguay...delivers an enjoyable story that runs full tilt...brisk sporadically violent thriller...gleefully over the top ending readers won't soon forget." (Kirkus Reviews)
