A few months ago I was just a normal guy from the Bronx looking for a summer internship. What I got instead was a job with the strangest one-man detective agency in Chinatown. This agency specializes in certain types of cases that ordinary investigators wouldn't touch. Cases involving creatures that aren’t supposed to exist.

It turns out the city I’ve lived in my whole life has a secret, and now that I know it, there’s no going back. Not for me, and sadly, not for you either.

In New York City it's only when the sun goes down that everything comes to life. Hidden in the darkest shadow, at the end of every alley, lay a world beyond the darkness. Roving gangs of shapeshifters, elder vampiric puppet masters, and powerful arcanists all claim dominion over the city that never sleeps. And the only thing keeping the once warring factions from tearing the city apart is an old agreement. What could possibly go wrong?
