Penned by one young preacher to others, all preachers will appreciate the wisdom of Reflections for the Call. Written as a devotional, the book uses practical truths and relevant Scriptures to help reconfirm the assignments of those in ministry. When read with fidelity, it will reignite the passion of not just young preachers but anyone with a public ministry call on their life.
Listeners will find 30 timeless admonitions that every minister, especially young ministers, should embrace. Each devotion begins with a scriptural lesson and an easy-to-understand reflection on an important lesson for ministry. Each of the reflections includes sound exegesis of the scriptural reference and is completed with a prayer that the listener can use at that very moment.
According to Dr. Marsha Brown Woodard of Palmer Theological Seminary, "These devotions...will speak to young preachers, and still be of benefit to more seasoned preachers as they seek to be faithful to God's call on their lives." There are plenty of preaching books, but few are designed with the young minister in mind. Kyle Boyer has written a work that combines theology and practicality to offer a great guidebook for anyone seeking to be faithful to their God-given assignments.
