Britain, 2030. The Home Secretary is informed that America’s NSA has a mole. Someone is leaking military secrets to the Chinese.
The Pentagon has just finished upgrading the security encryptions on all its military and weapons systems for the quantum computing age using a bespoke artificial intelligence model created by the NSA. But the AI left flaws in the security – backdoors in the code. The entire US military is now compromised, and these backdoors are being leaked to a foreign government.
Unable to fully trust their own because of the mole, the NSA turns to Britain, and GCHQ, for help correcting their mistake and to track down the turncoat.
NSA and GCHQ engineers and data scientists must work together to build a new AI model capable of understanding what went wrong with the rogue AI before the Chinese work out how to exploit America’s security vulnerabilities, and give them the edge in a future conflict…
