Our salvation was God’s idea. He devised and executed the plan by sending his Son, and he is the one who calls us to imself. God does the work, but the Christian must yield to it. It is in our surrender that we find the life of Christ being manifest in us.
This book explores salvation in many of its facets. It considers the theoretical concepts of free will and sovereignty and shows how they apply to our everyday life. If man is free, how is God sovereign? How can these two concepts coexist, and how do they fit into God’s plan of salvation? These topics are covered in a style that is aimed at the everyday Christian with practical examples.
We serve a God who relentlessly pursues us. If you are struggling in your Christian walk, remember that God desires your transformation more than you ever could. Our salvation is meant to be complete. God does not just tinker around the edges but transforms us from the inside out. He will not stop until he has turned our ashes into beauty.
