DEVON: Dreadful has a shiny new contract with Kingsport Records, a prestigious label that any metal band would kill to work with. I should be happy, but I'm not. I've been fooled too many times. Deceived, even.

First, with our band manager, who is too talented for being so young, and then again, with my best friend. The pair of them has put me smack dab in the middle of a fixation I can't break free of.

I don't know which is worse, either. The man who lied and broke my trust, then turned what was supposed to be a professional relationship, volatile. Or the man I always look to first, who can't stomach being around me? What am I going to do when I'm stuck on tour with both of them?

LEX: For six years, I've pushed all my hurt, rejection, and insecurities into one ball of fire. I've guided Dreadful with an iron fist. Their road to success is a direct result of my hard work, but I'm still an outcast in their found family.

Things might be changing, but I doubt I'll ever be fully accepted. even now, I'm being pulled in two directions, wondering if I'll have a safe place to land.

Managing a band like Dreadful will always present challenges, but I don't know how to manage the unnatural pull between two feuding best friends. I might be the final straw that unravels everything.
