He Gave Away Five Million Dollars. The Diagnosis Was Wrong. The Doctor Has Vanished.
Carson Winfield was given six months. So he did what a decent man does, and gave away his five-million-dollar fortune to the people who needed it more.
Then the phone rang. The tests were wrong. He is going to live a long, healthy life. The money is gone. And the doctor who diagnosed him has disappeared.
The police arrive with questions about the missing physician and Carson's business dealings with him. The carefully crafted world of Carson Winfield, generous benefactor, is suddenly in pieces. Worse, Carson cannot tell the whole truth about his arrangement with the doctor without incriminating himself in a deeper crime he hoped no one would ever notice.
His search for answers begins the day he crosses paths with a sharp-eyed woman who has been duped by one of the doctor's other schemes. Together—or against the FBI and the police—Carson has to find the doctor first.
Misdiagnosis . . . Murder is a witty standalone cozy mystery for listeners who love terminal-diagnosis hooks, reluctant amateur sleuths, and missing-doctor whodunits with international flavor and an FBI shadow.
