あらすじ・解説

Michael White, one of the founders of narrative therapy, is back with his first major publication since the seminal Narrative Means to Therapeutic Ends.

Maps of Narrative Practice provides brand new practical and accessible accounts of the major areas of narrative practice that White has developed and taught over the years, so that listeners may feel confident when utilizing this approach in their practices. The book covers each of the five main areas of narrative practice-re-authoring conversations, remembering conversations, scaffolding conversations, definitional ceremony, externalizing conversations, and rite of passage maps - to provide listeners with an explanation of the practical implications, for therapeutic growth, of these conversations. Listeners both well-versed in narrative therapy as well as those new to its concepts, will find this fresh statement of purpose and practice essential to their clinical work.

Classic in the field....

with narration that does it justice. Narrator has excellent pacing, pleasing tone, and dialog that sounds like dialog on case scripts.

Brilliantly written and narrated

Fantastic thank you. I much appreciate this audio version of a powerful, moving and insightful book. Maps of Narrative Practice by Michael White is a perfect introduction to the field of narrative therapy and narrative practice. Superbly written and narrated.

Also check the Dulwich Centre for narrative therapy website, if you want to learn more about the field of narrative therapy, which Michael White co-founded. I am doing my masters there and they are very generous with their resources, offering free courses and articles if you want to explore ideas from this book more deeply and check out recent research and innovations.

Poor reading spoils great content

Interesting, helpful content, but the narrator’s halting, staccato performance and odd choice of words to emphasise makes it very difficult to follow. I will return this audiobook and buy a paperback or kindle copy.
