From the outside, 17-year-old Mary Jane Watson seems carefree and cool, the life of every party. In reality, she’s eager to escape her complicated home life. And that includes her crush on her next-door neighbor Peter Parker, whose super hero-sized secret might be too much to handle.
So when MJ gets punished for her "lack of commitment" at school, and an audition for a reoccurring character in a popular crime drama pops up, she sees it as the perfect opportunity to escape real life and live out her dream.
But then disaster strikes: the actors actually start committing the crimes written in the script, wreaking havoc all over New York City. Worse, Spider-Man can’t seem to remember who he is. As chaos ensues both on and off the set, MJ will have to step into the hero role and save everything she’s been running from . . . including those pesky feelings for a certain web-slinger.
