Luna and the Magic Owl is a book the world urgently needs. This book helps young listeners to see and appreciate not only their own inner beauty but also that of others. Luna Lavendar squirms in her seat when she learns that she has to work with the prettiest girls in class. But when a stuffed owl surprises her with wise advice and a little magic, Luna gains a new perspective about what it means to be and feel lovely.
Join Luna as she learns that not only do people come in all shapes and sizes but that those shapes and sizes are all beautiful. Luna and the Magic Owl will help young children to internalize positive messages about their bodies before the biases of mainstream culture seep in. After all, reports have found that by the time girls are 13, over half express dissatisfaction with their bodies. Additionally, up to 50 percent of girls in grades K-8 are already concerned about their weight.
Luna and the Magic Owl is an essential listen for every woman, young and old. There’s no doubt it will help shape and nurture a generation who are often torn down for not looking a certain way. It’s important to embrace self-love and body positivity to encourage a healthy self-image. Get it now and help your child to feel good in their own skin.
