Love Is A Ruthless God is a collection of scriptures written alone during midnights, sunrises at 6 AM, or in the middle of longing, devotion, and awakening. Each scripture becomes a verse in my personal religion of love. These scriptures follow the emotional terrain of loving someone who remains just out of reach, of answering calls you know you shouldn’t answer, of confronting the quiet humiliations and intoxicating returns that keep a connection alive long after clarity arrives. Moving through moments of intimacy, distance, obsession, and reflection, the book traces the unraveling of a relationship that forces me to confront the difference between love, access, and illusion. What begins as devotion slowly becomes awareness as I begin to see the patterns, the power dynamics, and the ways longing can pull a person back again and again like a rubber band snapping against the wrist.

Alongside the relationship is another story unfolding: the reconstruction of self. As heartbreak exposes the emotional terrain beneath it, the scriptures begin mapping ambition, identity, sensuality, and creative awakening. The lover slowly recedes while the narrator grows sharper, more observant, and more determined to understand the forces shaping desire, connection, and selfhood. It is the map I drew while learning that love does not always arrive to comfort you. Sometimes it arrives to transform you. And sometimes the most honest thing you can do while writing the scripture is still live it.
