Leviticus continues the story of the Israelites after their exodus from Egypt. The book also spells out God's details concerning offerings and the tabernacle. Do these strange laws and obscure, seemingly trifling moral practices have any bearing on us today? If the law was perfectly fulfilled in Jesus and believers are under a new covenant of grace, why bother studying arcane regulations that no longer apply? But they do apply. While their original contexts may have disappeared, the principles behind them are fraught with relevance. Roy Gane explores how, in our individualistic and selfish culture, Leviticus restores to us a God's-eye vision that extends beyond ourselves to the church as a community.
Leviticus: Audio Lectures features scholar and professor Roy Gane teaching through the book of Leviticus in 31 engaging and challenging lessons. A companion to Gane’s Leviticus, Numbers commentary in the NIV Application Commentary series, these lessons of restoration help us discover how to apply Scripture to our lives today.
Leviticus: Audio Lectures is part of the Zondervan Beyond the Basics Video Series, which is dedicated to bringing expert teaching from the world's best biblical scholars and theologians directly to interested learners.
