It initiates us into the otherness of the spotless love of Christ while at the same time chastising us so we may be freed from the suffocating embrace of self-love and embrace our brethren with brotherly love in Christ.In the modern era, everything around us is shaken, and values are being levelled. Yet, within the bosom of the Church, we have peace because we know from the experience and the words of our Saints that throughout the ages, the fierce storm has never overwhelmed the vessel of the Church, but the Church has calmed the storm.
