Kemi-cal Girl : Villanelle

A poem in the villanelle style. Officially there are 19 lines in this poem, with repeats of the 1st and 3rd lines throughout the poem as per the rules of a Villanelle.

There is a Villain at the end of the Villanelle though :) and its the extra verses lines that Ive put in to give it more dynamism.

If you just want the villanelle, then you can skip the last verses—these are extras.

What do you think of the juxtaposition between a top Political leader (in the UK) and a memorable erstwhile classic singer (from the US). There is no direct comparison except certain aspects of both their characters that are 'Stand out'.

I think those from the UK can guess who the leader is, and obviously the singer is, none other than Billie Holiday. The American female Jazz singer.

In the Parliamentary Despatch box, she gives a blistering account of herself, laser targeted at the opposition benches. That is why I wrote this short but sweet poem. Her feisty behavior and attack resonates with me as she prods & pokes at the opposing MP's. You can actually see them visibly squirm. Her chemistry is explosive when she's up there in her blue flag dress. Great job Kemi-cal girl ;)
