あらすじ・解説

The continuing adventure of Henry Gordon Jago and George Litefoot - characters first introduced on television in Doctor Who: 'The Talons of Weng-Chiang' (1977) who have become Infernal Investigators, solving mysteries involving paranormal or alien phenomena in 1880s London.

This release features four full-cast audio dramas plus a behind-the-scenes documentary:

  • 'Dead Men's Tales'. Written by Justin Richards and directed by Lisa Bowerman. Featuring Warren Brown. A friend from the past returns to warn Jago and Litefoot of a threat to the future. Time breaks are appearing in Victorian London, but first Leela must help solve the mystery of the Wet Men - terrifying creatures that are rising from the River Thames....
  • 'The Man at the End of the Garden'. Written by Matthew Sweet and directed by Lisa Bowerman. Featuring Joanna Bacon, Joanna Monro and Eden Monteath. Strange things are happening in the Naismith household. Eleanor Naismith has vanished, and her daughter, Clara, is found in odd circumstances.... What is the link to Eleanor's book, The Man at the End of the Garden?
  • 'Swan Song'. Written by John Dorney and directed by Lisa Bowerman. Featuring Abigail Hollick, Hywel Morgan and Andrew Westfield. The New Regency Theatre is haunted, and Jago, Litefoot and Leela witness the spirit of someone in a silver wheelchair floating over the stalls. This is the story of Alice - a young woman who had Swan Lake so cruelly taken from her....
  • 'Chronoclasm'. Written by Andy Lane and directed by Lisa Bowerman. Featuring Philip Bretherton, Duncan Wisbey and Wendy Padbury. When Litefoot's home is invaded by giant metal spheres, it seems that the end of the world is nigh. The enemy has revealed itself, and the endgame is afoot. Can two Henry Gordon Jagos save the day?

Another great collection!

Big Finish does it again! Another great collection for the Doctor Who spin-off characters Henry Jago and Professor Lightfoot. Christopher Benjamin and Trevor Baxter are entertaining as always. And the incorporation of the character of Leela from the original Talons of Weng-Chiang storyline back in the 1970’s was a brilliant choice. Louise Jameson is a fantastic actress who knows her character well and brings a new dimension to the series. The writers also stepped it up and deliver us another great set of stories, a nice mix of stories different from one another but with an over-arching story arc to tie them together. I particularly enjoyed Swan Song by John Dorney which I think is one of his best. And the teaser at the end made me smile when I heard who would be joining next series. No spoilers, you will have to listen to find out.

Jago, Litefoot, and Leela!

Another fun Victorian romp with Jago and Litefoot. Now joined by 4th Doctor companion Leela, who's arrived to help them save the world and Time itself!

Enjoyable addition to the series

Jago and Litefoot is one of my favourite Doctor Who spin-off, and is often better than the original series. Great performances and sound-design as usual from this series, stories are not alway uniformly strong, but there are some gems. Would definitely listen again.

Very entertaining but marred by poor recording

Every bit as good as the first two, with a couple of nice twists but some of the recording and editing is really not up to the BBC's usual standard. For example a scene involving a child was obviously recorded in multiple chunks and the join is so bad it's distracting and lumpy. Part three is also quite short at just over four hours.

The Best So Far

Four Fantastic Stories with the added bonus of Leela joining the intrepid duo for more supernatural/science fiction cases. Season 3 builds on the excellent work of Seasons 1 and 2 by presenting quite high concept situations easily, coherently and entertainingly

Jago and Lieutenant go Fourth Season.

The Oscar Wild story was an absolute peach. I loved the dialogue and the chilling sci-fi - Gothic horror of it all. 😀👍

Third Time of Terrific Tales!

The third series of Jago & Litefoot introduces a new recurring character, in the form of Leela from the original Doctor Who serial upon which these audios were based. It is great to hear her back with the gang, their chemistry is so natural and amazing! And chemistry is the main reason for listening to these audio dramas, though the stories themselves are very clever, but it's just great hearing Jago and Litefoot together once more.
