Keeper of the Refuge and friend to Helmrest. One to protect and the other to help. Easier said than done.

Jack’s group of misfits is starting to grow. They already had a dwarf and a ratling, so what’s an added satyr for flavor?

More importantly, Jack’s meddling in Helmrest’s leadership drew the attention of one of the higher powers, and it’s pretty hard to stay independent when a kingdom decides you’re looking ripe for the taking. But money is power and, luckily, Jack has a few friends eager to help out.

Adventurers make lots of money, right? Yeah, that’ll work.

Jack and Co. continue their adventures, setting their sights on increasingly lucrative targets. Yet things tend to spiral, and there’s a time limit before Helmrest gets invaded. Will they make it in time? Who knows, maybe the true power is the friends they make along the way.

Oh, and this is definitely all just about local powers playing land grab. Nothing about any reemergent races, ancient feuds, and mythical wars. No, sir. Pinkie promise.

This novel is a LitRPG adventure, following a young man who only wants to make the best out of what he’s got. It is set inside a world where your Class dictates who you are and your Levels dictate your progress. But it is no video game.
