Destruction took down growth. Neglect took down kindness. But no one could ever take down that fifth bar: presence. There was a presence in my life—one that did want me, one that loved me and cared for me; it took decades to recognize the bar that never fell. This is the story of that presence and how, with it, I got all five bars rockin’! This is my story.
