Born in war-torn Lebanon, Rita El-Mounayer grew up in the shadow of bombings, checkpoints, and a silenced childhood.

From the sounds of foreign militias howling in the valley beneath her home to the grief of losing her mother during the Lebanese Civil War, Rita’s childhood was shaped by fear, a longing for a better life, and faith. Yet God never gave up on Rita. Through grief, disappointment, and calling, I Choose Hope tells the extraordinary true story of how a child of war and tragedy overcame the odds to become CEO of a Christian satellite and digital media network broadcasting into some of the most spiritually closed and politically volatile regions of the world.

With honest humility and poetic storytelling, Rita traces her journey from enduring fighting and violence as a girl, to presenting a popular television show viewed by children across the Arab World, to leading a multi-language media ministry reaching millions across the Middle East and North Africa.

This memoir of faith, family, calling, and obedience will inspire you with examples of:

• resilience in the face of war and violence

• hope in God amidst personal loss

• the light of Christ shining in spiritually dark places

Rita’s journey from the ruins of war to the TV screen provides a glimpse of hope that is not circumstantial, but eternal. In I Choose Hope, Rita tells the remarkable story of God’s provision and faithfulness in her life. Join her on the journey to be inspired and encouraged to choose hope yourself, whatever your circumstances.
