I know my house is abandoned. I know this because I got a tip from my neighbor that he believes my tenant moved out, even though their lease is not up for another two months. I have been having issues with this tenant; she did not pay rent this month, so I know something is up!

The carpet in the master bedroom is absolutely indescribable. Just gross. So gross! It looked like a dead body had decayed in the middle of the floor, but judging from the strong, putrid stench of dog, we were able to eliminate a murder scene.

Being a landlord is not always fun or easy, and it is even less alluring if you’re dealing with difficult tenants. But landlording can also be rewarding, enjoyable, and worthwhile. Let me share with you the pitfalls and mistakes I made as a new landlord. Let me also share some tips, tricks, and strategies I have learned along the way when dealing with terrible tenants.
