概要
Nelson Beckett is an ex-cop who runs a bar and grill in a small, unconventional community, “The Edge”. Business is good, and he is considered the mayor of The Edge and the county sheriff has made him an honorary deputy.
He starts having the night terrors again and he begins to fear that he might have inherited his mother’s mental illness.
Another businessman asks the ex-cop if he believes in ghosts. Nelson tries to placate the man by telling him that we’re all haunted by our past and experiences. The man still believes he is being haunted, and not long after his house is broken into and trashed. Ghosts don’t trash houses, and Nelson is pulled into a mystery involving decades-old crimes that have an impact upon today.
As he works on solving the mystery, Nelson reunites with an old girlfriend who is being haunted by the son of a rich and powerful family. What Nelson doesn’t know is that she has come back to kill the man who has haunted her for years.
Bloody murder stalks The Edge and Nelson is right in the middle of it. In a breathtaking chase he must capture or kill the killer and rescue his old girlfriend.
