Novelist Jeffrey Eugenides and the Writers Guild Foundation 2002 Film and Television Writers Forum. Eugenides is the author of the novel The Virgin Suicides which was made into a movie. His new novel Middlesex is about a contemporary hermaprodite. Eugenides' fiction has appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, The Yale Review, and Best American Short Stories. Eugenides currently lives in Berlin, Germany. In June, the Writers Guild Foundation held its 2002 Film and Television Writers Forum, called "Words into Pictures." The forum focused on the role of the writer in film and television. Fresh Air features highlights from the forum.
