Cassandra woke up every day with one goal in mind. To restore honor to her family’s name. And as a dragon shifter living in a village wrapped in seclusion and secrets, the best way to do that was to join their infamous Guard, strength being their number one source of pride. Nothing could distract her from her mission.

Unserious, weak creatures who only know how to do two things. Have fun and waste time. Believing she could be of help, she reveals a talent that had long since been forbidden among her kind. Firebreathing.

Instead of welcome and praise, she is met with banishment. Her only hope of return? Defeat the threat and save the world. No pressure right?

Secrets that had been long hidden from her threaten to ruin any chance of success as she struggles between right and wrong, good and evil and navigating a force unlike any she had ever seen; an instant and powerful attraction to her Faerie companion.

Together, the unlikely duo set out to bring peace to the world, all the while fighting a battle within themselves. If they fail, they stand to lose not only the world, but also each other. The question is, which fate is worse?
