When Eddy Stone finds a pirate in his Gran’s bath, his miserable summer holiday turns into a treasure hunt. Setting sail in a ship-shaped shed, crewed by an old lady and a grumpy penguin, what could possibly stop them? (Apart from the world’s most evil shopkeeper, a man-eating beast, and the maddest, baddest villain in all the seven seas.) All aboard for an EPIC adventure....

批評家のレビュー
"A charming, surreal and batty trip into a world of Pythonesque Pirates, buried treasure and total silliness. Lovely." (Lenny Henry)
"Bizarre and brilliant, the book is full of imagination and sure to get kids plotting adventures to fill those magical summer days." (Anorak Magazine)
"Oh how I wish the wonderfully told adventures of this unforgettable pirate and the boy who befriends him had existed when I was young. I shall pretend I still am and read them again and again." (Stephen Fry)
"An epic story indeed, and possibly the most inventive piratical comedy-fantasy-adventure you'll read this year.... As quests go, it's a cracker and very, very funny too. Polished and very original, this is Simon Cherry's debut novel and hopefully the first of many." (LoveReading4Kids)
