A new kingdom. A new, sizzling curse. Prepare to meet the Sun Saint in Daughter of the Light, the next interconnected standalone in R.J. Valldeperas' romantasy series Daughters of Auquis!

In the sun-drenched land of Achiq, all of its denizens are forced to live underground to escape the light that drives them to madness. No one can withstand the curse of the sun, except for Iska.

As a conduit of light that can heal wounds and soothe souls, Iska is revered as a saint among mortals. Once a month, they are invited to the Sanctum to pay for the privilege of her touch. But Iska and the elders she serves have a secret; too much of her touch can kill, and after a guard saves her life during an attack on the Sanctum, she learns that there are many willing to die for it.

In exchange for saving Iska’s life, Liyam is given the life changing opportunity to become her personal guard. Despite his dislike of her and the elders, he accepts with the hope of moving his sister further up the levels of Achiq. But the more time he spends in Iska’s presence and near the surface, the harder it becomes to ignore his heart and the secrets hidden in plain sight.

Together, they will be forced to peer into the shadows of power and uncover the cure for a curse fueled by the greed of gods and men…or die trying
