He is now an influential director - having directed over 40 productions around the UK, from Shakespeare to musicals - as well as a cutting-edge writer.Willmott is the artistic director of his own multi-award-winning theatre company, The Steam Industry, and an associate director of The Kings Head Theatre. As an arts journalist and critic, he hosts his own weekly arts show, Capital Eyes, on Resonance 104.4FM. For two years he was a theatre correspondent for BBC London's television news and website, and also for lastminute.com.
