概要

Audrey

Current life goals:

- Get through these fifty-hour work weeks while maintaining my sanity,

- Avoid relationships with Dominants who can't accept me for who I am,

- Strengthen my relationship with my older brother, who still sees me as an irresponsible, impulsive screw-up,

- Survive a year of living with my brother and his best friend, who are moving back to Chicago to start a business.

So far, so good. My new bartending job at Club Caliber is going well, Liam has been texting me about how excited he is to move into our new place and spend more time with me, and I even hit it off with a man at my last bartending shift who might actually be my perfect match. But that all comes crashing down when I find the man I flirted with–and kissed–last night standing in the doorway of my new apartment with a box in his arms.

Turns out, my perfect man is none other than my brother's best friend, Collin, and I'm totally screwed.

Collin

I don't believe in love at first sight, but I also don't think I've ever been this obsessed so quickly. The feisty, purple-haired bartender I met at the club was my perfect match: sassy without being rude, witty without being showy, and confident without being cocky. But when she turns out to be Liam's sister, I tell her the only thing I can: "We can't do this."

I want her so much it hurts, but being with her would mean risking my friendship (and business partnership) with Liam. He's seen me at my worst, when I self-medicated with booze and one-night stands, and even though that's over now, he refuses to see me as anything but a player who goes through women constantly. But he's been here for me through everything, and now we're building something important together. His misunderstanding of my sex life is a small price to pay for our friendship. I just wish his sister wasn't the one woman I'm desperate to be with.

And the longer we have to live together, the more the boundaries begin to blur. She's a brat, and she's taking full advantage of the fact that I love a good challenge. Because that's exactly what she's doing–challenging me, pushing me until I inevitably snap and cross every line we've drawn.

Crossing the Line is the fourth book in the Club Caliber series, but it can be enjoyed as a standalone.
