このコンテンツについて
A funny, feel-good, holiday romance about starting over, turning lemons into hot cocoa and letting love prevail. Book #3 in The Carpool Lane series.
Bubbly, brilliant college freshman Cricket Hughes just wants to spend winter break with her high school friends and boyfriend from Seattle. Even though she's doing amazing at university in Portland, Cricket's miserable there and unsure about her entire future. But when she's with her peeps, all that gloominess disappears. She feels alive again. Which is why, after part one of winter break—skiing at Mount Baker with her crew starting Christmas Day—Cricket is ready for part two—New Year’s skiing in Whitefish, Montana, with best-friend Audrey and boyfriend Finn, a job at the ski resort and a fun food truck to make extra money.
But when Finn bails on Cricket to teach skiing in the Alps, Cricket is left high and dry in Whitefish without money, heartbroken, self-confidence bashed and too embarrassed to tell her parents how badly she messed up. Luckily, Cricket’s taken in by Maria Gomez, mom of college freshman and budding food-truck entrepreneur Joe Gomez, the determined and sweet guy that bought the food truck from Finn. The two clash immediately over food-truck money and because Mrs. Gomez insists Cricket stay in Joe's adorable chalet-esque studio above the garage while he's forced to room with his annoying little sister CoCo. Cricket does her best to rally in this magical winter wonderland, working at the ski resort while Joe gets "Joe's Street Food" off the ground. Joe sees through her fake cheer while they carpool in the food truck and pushes her buttons at every turn. But when Cricket kidnaps a stray cat, starts a cat hat business with her sister and takes the cat skiing, all behind Joe's back, she starts to feel like her usual self—which is fabulous until she also befriends Joe and starts to fall for him too.
