Let’s begin sharing our Bible stories for youth by telling the story of the first sin. When we speak of “sin”, we are talking of an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law. In truth, a transgression against God.
Many of us have heard this story in one form or another. It was here where God put the first man, who was named Adam, in what became known as the Garden of Eden.
Adam was put in the garden to farm the land. It was made clear to him by God that in that place, he had a responsibility to take care of the garden.
God told Adam, “You can eat the fruit of any tree that is in the garden. But you must not eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. For if you do, you will surely die.”
