Sweet! It’s good news that the grade-school kids at Bangkok Christian School are joining a brand new soccer league. Go Pythons! Even though she’s two grades behind all the guys, they pick Maddy Cey as their unstoppable goalie.
Oops. Don’t count on trophies just yet. Across town, the brand new Lions team has a monster boy named Suchart who’s six inches taller than anybody else . . . and scary fast. No one else is gonna have a chance to win games unless they can figure out a way to stop this guy.
This brand new story about honesty and fair play happens in Asia’s hot capital city of FUN! (Okay, it’s just plain hot weather too.) There’s campouts and Hathai’s amazing praise songs at church and some really tough moments when Gage and Jaidee have to decide: do we forgive somebody’s huge flub ‘cause we feel like it or simply because that’s what the friends of Jesus do?
David B. Smith spent his growing-up years in Thailand, which everybody knows is also the perfect setting for love stories. Parents and high school kids can check out the Rachel Marie Series – a whopping ten adventures – beginning with “Love in a Distant Land.” All our Asia romantic adventures are available in print, e-book, and audiobook formats!
David just retired after fifteen super-cool years teaching math at San Bernardino Valley College. He and Lisa go for long morning walks in Newbury Park, California, and then he practices his bass guitar for weekend gigs at nearby churches. David’s two daughters are Kami and Karli, and they have presented him with four quite awesome grandkids: Kira, Katrina, Audrey, and Miles.
