Greenfield is the recipient of several honors, including Honorary Artist in Residence in Cinema Studies and the School of Journalism and Electronic Media at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, Distinguished Alumnus by SUNY Oswego, the Sara Feinsilver Prize as the outstanding female graduating student by Hebrew College, and Ms. Magazine’s “one of eighty women to watch in the 80’s.” She walked out of the women’s movement in 1983 in defiance of its intensifying antisemitism and illiberal dogma.
