What would you burn for Jesus? In Acts 19, a crowd of new believers hauled their most valuable possessions into the city center and set them on fire. Dr. Luke counted the cost at fifty thousand pieces of silver, roughly 160 years of a working man’s wages, and called it a victory for the Kingdom.
In “The Beasts at Ephesus,” Pastor Léonce walks through Acts 19:11-41 and asks the question this passage won’t let us avoid: what has following Jesus actually cost you? You’ll meet seven men who tried to borrow someone else’s faith, a silversmith whose paycheck had become his god, and two very different assemblies, one that burned its books in the light and one that shouted for two hours without knowing why.
Whether you’ve followed Jesus for years or aren’t sure what you believe yet, this message is for you.
