The Detroit Lions prepare for a high-stakes divisional matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, where Jared Goff and the Lions' explosive offense face Brian Flores' aggressive, blitz-heavy defense. The spotlight remains on offensive weapons like Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Sam LaPorta as Detroit looks to overcome last season's struggles, including surrendering five sacks per game and a rash of turnovers against Minnesota. Can the Lions offensive line step up, and will Goff pinpoint exploitable gaps in the relentless Vikings blitz packages?

All eyes are on Jahmyr Gibbs, who missed practice with a shoulder injury after accounting for over 50% of Detroit’s offensive touches this season. With David Montgomery traded to the Houston Texans, Gibbs’ health becomes even more critical for the Lions’ playoff hopes. The Detroit defense, led by the return of Brian Branch, will also be tested as they aim to maintain recent momentum and limit a Minnesota offense averaging more points than the Green Bay Packers.
