Apple skipped the keynote and quietly dropped a whole smart home lineup at its invite-only Welcome Home event on October 13. We go product by product: HomeView, Apple's $299 tilting smart display that knows who's looking at it; the Apple Home Collection of cameras, locks, doorbells, and thermostats built with LG and Schneider Electric; the HomePod mini 2 and its album-art Sound Glow; and the new Apple TV 4K, whose A19 chip has us dreaming about a tiny living room game console.

Plus: Canadian Thanksgiving, reviving Dan's PC with a new power supply, progress on our cocktail arcade cabinet, and a Show and Tell with two G4 iMacs, the lamp-shaped ancestor of HomeView.

Prices mentioned are in USD.
