Can stories from the past change how we understand the world today? 📚 Discover how historical fiction brings forgotten history to life with author Larry F. Sommers on The Wisdom Trade!

Larry is the author of The Price of Passage: From Norway to America, From Slavery to Freedom, a powerful historical novel exploring Norwegian immigrants, fugitive slaves, and the struggle for freedom before the American Civil War. He also wrote Izzy Strikes Gold!, a coming-of-age story set in 1957, the year of Sputnik.

In this engaging conversation, Larry shares why historical fiction matters, how real-life family history inspires his storytelling, why authorship is a long game, and practical advice for aspiring writers who want to finish and publish their books.
