The Colorado Avalanche (5-2) face the Philadelphia Flyers on October 19, 2026, following a 5-2 victory over Pittsburgh. Nathan MacKinnon recorded four points, including a power-play goal and three assists, while Artturi Lehkonen scored twice. The Avs sit 4th in the Western Conference but face significant challenges due to nine player injuries, including Zachary L'Heureux, Nicolas Roy, and Ryan Graves on IR.

Key topics include the impact of missing defensemen like Trevor van Riemsdyk and Samuel Girard, and forwards Logan O'Connor and Georgii Merkulov. The episode analyzes line matchups involving Gavin Brindley, Parker Kelly, and Martin Necas filling voids. Defensive structure and neutral-zone exits remain critical concerns after previous struggles against Toronto and Dallas.

Hosts Allison and Derek discuss Brent Burns' role on the power play, Cale Makar's offensive dominance, and goaltending duties for Mackenzie Blackwood and Scott Wedgewood. Predictions focus on a gritty, low-scoring affair where physicality and special teams decide the outcome against Philadelphia.
