The Buffalo Sabres dropped a heartbreaker 4-3 to the Montreal Canadiens after Cole Caufield scored in overtime. Jack Quinn led Buffalo's offense with one goal, while Tage Thompson recorded a point. Despite a strong rally, defensive lapses and injuries to Rasmus Dahlin and Eric Matheson contributed to the loss.

We analyze the box score stats, including Alexandre Carrier's two assists for Montreal. Key topics include the impact of the extensive injury list featuring Florian Xhekaj and Sam Montembeault on IR. Eric and Danielle discuss neutral-zone struggles, power play inefficiencies, and Owen Power's defensive load.
