President Donald Trump says the United States will not attack Iran before the November midterm elections. The president said Washington and Tehran are engaged in productive discussions, while the United States blockade of Iran remains in place. Vice President James David Vance announced new restrictions involving foreign worker green card applications. According to South Korean broadcaster Seoul Broadcasting System, the administration is blocking several major technology companies, including Microsoft and large information technology outsourcing firms, from participating in certain permanent labor certification applications. The Department of Labor is also investigating nine universities over their use of exchange visitor visas. At the White House, President Trump hosted a Science: A New Golden Age summit and presented national science and technology medals to Elon Musk, Sergey Brin, Jensen Huang, Lisa Su, Michael Dell, and Satya Nadella. The White House says the summit is intended to advance the administration’s plans for American leadership in science, technology, and innovation. The administration also says more than seventy million American children have been automatically enrolled in Trump Accounts. Families must claim the accounts to manage them, and eligible children born between twenty twenty-five and twenty twenty-eight may receive a one-time federal contribution of one thousand dollars. In the courts, a federal judge is continuing to consider a legal challenge involving the White House’s restrictions on reporters from Cable News Network, MS Now, and Politico. The journalists currently retain access under a temporary order, while the judge considers whether to issue longer-term protections. Those are the leading White House developments for this Friday morning. Thank you for tuning in, listeners.
